I Want to See You Seeing the World

Orion Snow

I want to show you all the beautiful places

On this spinning blue planet we call home—

Mountains that rise like ancient dreams,

Seas that whisper poems in languages lost.

But more than that—

I want to see you seeing them.

Your eyes lighting up like first dawn

As cherry blossoms fall across Kyoto streets,

As the northern lights waltz in Iceland’s sky.

I want to see your breath catch

When we stand at the edge of the Grand Canyon,

And hear your laughter echo

Through the alleys of a sleepy town in Italy.

I want to watch you take the world in

One breathtaking moment at a time—

Your smile,

More beautiful than anything I could show you.

Because in the end,

No view, no wonder,

No sunrise or skyline,

Will ever be as beautiful

As watching you fall in love

With the world.
