What a blast it was!
Letter from the Editor (Katie V.)
After our final release party of the 2024/2025 school year, I was filled with a deep gratitude and awe — not just for the celebration itself, but for what it represented. The Mission Release Party was a glimpse into what is possible when a community chooses to come together with humility, respect for each other’s differences, and a shared heartbeat for creativity.
Thank you, Trinity Western University, for the opportunity to step into the role of Editor-in-Chief of Mars’ Hill — the official student-led magazine.
I quickly learned that Mars’ Hill is more than just a magazine — it’s a deep well of opportunity. It’s a space where students grow as professionals, where friendships are forged like family, and where bold, fresh expressions of faith can take root.
Through this year-end release party, I’ve seen the incredible potential of gatherings that reach beyond our campus community. Mars’ Hill can grow into a creative network that connects young adults, artists, and businesses across the Lower Mainland — and beyond — not only with one another, but with Christ.

The energy of the event was made possible by the incredible guests who came and connected — each offering something unique from their own walk of life. Few things bring me more joy than witnessing creative people come together and lean into collaboration. It’s the kind of experience that makes us want to dive into the adventure of event planning over and over again.
Thank you, all of you, for being a part of this experience. The seeds God has planted through each of you are going to grow into fruitful branches of God’s divine narrative. The best part? I know God is not finished yet.
With love and gratitude,
from Katie Vermeulen & all the Mars’ Hill Team!
